Other Men - Wake Up Swimming
Posted by Scott Hand on 2006-12-19 at 9:14 am
Robcore's first release will be from Other Men, (with Manolo S. Turner and Travis Nelson both from Heavy Vegetable). The release, titled Wake Up Swimming will be released March 20th, 2007, and should be available through Touch And Go.

I have heard a track from this release, and can assure all of the fans of Heavy Vegetable and Thingy, that they will LOVE this album. I can't wait.

Holy Smokes
Posted by Scott Hand on 2006-11-26 at 6:38 pm
Again, thanks to Loic for pointing me towards Holy Smokes' latest release entitled "Talk To Your Kids About Gangs". Rob's part of the ensemble, and it's along the same musical vein as their earlier release, "Masculine Drugs". The track listing and link have been added to the discography.

The Ladies - They Mean Us
Posted by Scott Hand on 2006-02-03 at 3:47 pm
I just got The Ladies' album, They Mean Us today in the mail from Temporary Residence Records. It is absolutely wonderful. I've mentioned how much I love this sound before, but I can't get over how well Rob's guitar and voice fit over top of Zach's mad drumming.

I've added the lyrics from the album to the lyrics section, so check them out, and then go buy the album!

Rob explains his involvement with Team Sleep.

"its a buncha diverse friends of mine from sacramento.
one who is zach hill (who drums in hella and is my partner in the
ladies) and one is a dude from the deftones.
i still havent really heard the deftones.
they had been working on thier album for 3 years.
with 2 days to spare of recording dates, i happpened to wake up in in
the studio after a long night of guiness intake and banged out the
lyrics and vocals for the last six songs they had to finish.
